RURAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES PROJECT

REO Research Center

Project Summary

The opening of the Rural Employment Opportunities center (REO) is a project undertaken by the not-for-profit organization, Fellowship for Strengthening the Future of Families (FSFF), for the specific purpose of creating more job opportunities through the developing field of "OUTSOURCING" (or telecommuting) to individuals living in the smaller communities of rural Utah. Outsourcing is a method of working for a company from anywhere in the United States at an off-site location, such as a person’s own home or a designated computer lab area by exchanging information via broadband internet. It is possible to be employed by a company in New York, yet living and working from your home in California through this method of employment. The concept of outsourcing has been used for several years, but the research and development involved in creating more jobs in this way is just beginning. That is where REO can make an incredible difference in the job opportunities available to people in Rural areas.

Members of FSFF respect and support the desire of individuals to raise their families in the safe, secure, clean, and wholesome lifestyle afforded by such neighborhoods as exist in many communities in rural Utah. It is their opinion that families are strengthened and unity is fostered in such an atmosphere. FSFF also recognizes the economic hardship such individuals are faced with in making this respectable choice for their families
